Currently, we have an opportunity for a: Lab Analytical Specialist A Lab Analytical Specialist administers and coordinates analytical and scientific activities in a specific segment of the Clinical Laboratories to ensure effective operation of the department and compliance with relevant certifying bodies. Children's is looking for an analytical specialist to oversee the areas of Hematology and Coagulation at its Egleston campus. Qualifications include: · Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field · Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP or equivalent) · Three to five years of laboratory experience required to gain specific knowledge of routine and specialized procedures and tests in Hematology and Coagulation, with demonstrated technical competency · Articulate in major technical field in assisting laboratory staff, clinical staff, and other caregivers in assuring optimal clinical laboratory support for patients · Requires sound independent judgment and acceptance of responsibility for team performance without extensive supervision · A candidate with a strong background in Coagulation is preferred Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is ranked as one of the top children’s hospitals nationwide, according to Parent magazine and U.S. News & World Report, plus we’ve made Fortune magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For" six years running.
